PGH Home Renovations

Second Chances

People rebuild their lives the same way we rebuild homes — one honest day at a time.

Licensed & Insured · PA HIC #PA220735

PGH Home Renovations believes in second chances. We are proud to work alongside organizations that give people in recovery a safe, dignified place to live, and we are proud to employ team members who are serious about their recovery, willing to work hard, and ready to make up ground after a period that set them back. Addiction takes years from people. Steady work, a paycheck, and a trade are how a lot of them get those years back.

Our Housing Partners

Our housing partners

Recovery works better when the basics are handled. Safe housing, structure, and people who expect something of you — that is the foundation everything else gets built on. We partner with organizations doing that work in the Pittsburgh area.

Recovery Housing Partnerships

We partner with recovery housing organizations across the Pittsburgh area — organizations providing structured, certified recovery residences for people moving from treatment toward independent living. These partnerships are how we connect with people who are ready for full-time work and a fresh start.

If your organization works with people in recovery who are ready for employment, we would like to hear from you. Email us at info@pghhomerenovations.com.

Our Approach

Why we hire this way

We hire on work ethic, reliability, and how someone treats the people around them. We do not screen people out because of a chapter of their life they have already put behind them.

What we have found is straightforward: people who are working hard on their recovery tend to show up, take direction, and take pride in the finished product. They know what it took to get here. That shows up in the work.

The Path

A job, and then a trade

A paycheck stabilizes someone. A trade changes what the rest of their life looks like.

Everyone we hire starts as a W-2 employee with a real schedule and real pay. From there, the path is open:

  • Paid on-the-job training across carpentry, demolition, framing, drywall, tile, finish work, and roofing
  • Work alongside experienced tradespeople from day one — we run our own crews, so training happens on site every day
  • Progression from general labor into a skilled trade, and from there into lead and supervisory roles
  • Support toward the certifications and manufacturer training that go with the work
  • A skill set that is yours permanently, and that this region will always need

We are not offering anyone a favor. We are offering a job and a way up, and we expect the work that goes with it.

For Referral Partners

For treatment centers, house managers, and case managers

If you work with people who are ready for full-time employment and interested in the trades, we would like to hear from you. We hire year-round across Allegheny County.

For Our Clients

What this means for our clients

Every person on a PGH jobsite is a vetted, screened, W-2 employee of this company, supervised by our team and held to the same standard on every project. We are a registered and insured Pennsylvania contractor, we pull every permit, and we stand behind our workmanship in writing. That standard does not move, on any job, for anyone.
